Etowah Co LEOs sign petition against gun bills 2 months 3 weeks ago #763

Do you think the Sheriff put a little pressure on his men to sign the petition?

I bet someones participation would be implied at least.

Welcome Davethescot! I met a couple guys who's histories have an uncanny similarity to your own. Perhaps you are actually one of those men. Are you associated with a firearms shop along Countyline road?

Just registered with Bama Carryand thought I would say hello. I am a Brit by birth but an American by Naturalization. As an engineer, I served in the British Army for 25 years as a weapons officer and moved here on assignment to Redstone Arsenal....

You should be fine with an Alabama Permit in Tn, OC or not. My son in law has oc'ed there with out problems but doesn't mean you won't have any. This is one of the things that hinder OC so much. People are scared of what the police might do. And...

Alabama's license does nothing for OC. That is at least until the current bill becomes law and the legal determination is made (at which time we will have lost another right).

I know Tn is not a traditional open carry state and I also know they have reciprocity with Alabama for conceal carry. My question is, does anyone know if having an Alabama conceal carry would suffice to open carry in TN? My first thought is no, but...

I ran into an old friend today I’ve not seen in probably 20-25 years. He’s 85 now. I met him at the Otasco store I used to work at in the early 70’s. It was on the corner where the Northport City Hall is located now. We sold everything from...

We must use this as a starting point next session. We will have a petition soon for Constitutional carry as provided for in the Alabama Declaration of rights. We must do our best to educate these lawmakers they have no right to make any gun law....

Woody, I've never read a post you made that wasn't steeped in facts. That's why I always look forward to what you have to say. I know some won't believe it but it does pain me that AGR has gone the way it has. I've been called some nasty names...

I thought the same thing. All the committee did was correct a few words, grammar and such. They did however put CC with a license back at sporting events. To me, its not enough. This bill will likely pass, but it gives away more than it protects.

I honestly have no idea why this went into committee - it seems to be the house version in all substantive respects. Based on that assessment, I assume it will pass.
