TOPIC: Montgomery County Sheriffs Office Newsletter

Montgomery County Sheriffs Office Newsletter 2 months 2 weeks ago #762

They try to legitimize this bill by saying that the purpose is to ensure protection of the right to keep and bear arms. What a bunch of bull! All this bill does is to bow to the wishes of the NRA and to endanger the well being of law abiding citizens. Who are these people kidding? They just need to admit that they are nothing more than puppets for the NRA.

This newsletter has given me a "talking point" springboard if I get to speak Tuesday at the Statehouse. You are right about it being BS. It's the most blatant bunch of crap to come out of a Sheriff's mouth I've heard in a long time. What's happening is LE leadershiip is driving a wedge between the citizens and themselves. I want to work with LE but their leaders are surely making it hard to do. It's becoming more of an "us and them" thing. I've never wanted that. But bring it if it must be. WE are the ones with the cards. I just hope there are enough Patriots to play the hand.

I used to be one of the owners of Last Resort Guns. I parted company with them after I finished designing the indoor range that is now being built on County Line and Palmer.

Welcome Davethescot! I met a couple guys who's histories have an uncanny similarity to your own. Perhaps you are actually one of those men. Are you associated with a firearms shop along Countyline road?

You should be fine with an Alabama Permit in Tn, OC or not. My son in law has oc'ed there with out problems but doesn't mean you won't have any. This is one of the things that hinder OC so much. People are scared of what the police might do. And...

Alabama's license does nothing for OC. That is at least until the current bill becomes law and the legal determination is made (at which time we will have lost another right).

I know Tn is not a traditional open carry state and I also know they have reciprocity with Alabama for conceal carry. My question is, does anyone know if having an Alabama conceal carry would suffice to open carry in TN? My first thought is no, but...
