You should be fine with an Alabama Permit in Tn, OC or not. My son in law has oc'ed there with out problems but doesn't mean you won't have any. This is one of the things that hinder OC so much. People are scared of what the police might do. And...

Alabama's license does nothing for OC. That is at least until the current bill becomes law and the legal determination is made (at which time we will have lost another right).
